The Seattle Police Department released bodycam footage from a gang-related mass shooting at the Bite of Seattle on Sunday that left three people dead and at least four wounded.

The video shows police running through the crowd, helping wounded people, and making an arrest.

Police believe 3 gunmen involved in Bite of Seattle shooting

Police later revealed they believed there were three gunmen involved in the shooting: a 15-year-old in custody, 19-year-old Junior Semo, who was killed at the scene, and a third shooter on the loose.

The two other people killed were 56-year-old Ashley Whitehead and 44-year-old Carlos Israel Sanchez Villalba.

The 15-year-old was charged Wednesday with first-degree assault with a firearm enhancement and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, according to the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office (KCPAO).

Prosecutors have requested the case be moved to adult jurisdiction.

A ghost gun was seized from the 15-year-old and was one of three firearms recovered. However, police are still working to determine whether the teen killed anyone or the deadly shots came from another suspect.

KCPAO Director of Communications Casey McNerthney told KIRO Newsradio that although investigators are working to determine the extent of the teen’s crimes, they currently have sufficient evidence for assault.

“You want to make sure that you can prove what you bring before the court,” he said. “So right now Seattle Police investigators are working on trying to determine what exactly happened, and I would imagine that includes what bullets from which guns. And that investigation could go on for several more days or weeks.”

SPD holds off on releasing suspect description

At a news conference Friday, interim Seattle Police Chief Andre Sayles said the department has held off on releasing a description of the additional gunman because investigators want to ensure they identify the right person.

“We are working tirelessly to bring these people to justice,” Sayles said. “We’re going to continue to do that as a police department, but at the same time, we want to make sure that we have it right. We don’t want to put someone in and take someone’s liberties away from them, because we think that is the person. We want to know 100% that that is the person and bring that person to justice.”
