VIDEO: Bystander rushes to help woman after stranger bites off chunk of her face

Sep 30, 2026, 2:52 PM

King County prosecutors have released new surveillance video (seen above) showing the moments immediately after a gruesome face-biting attack in downtown Seattle.

The attack itself, at 3rd Ave. and Marion Street near the 7-Eleven, happened off camera.

The video shows suspect Kamilia Chadli walking up to a bus shelter and calmly putting on her jacket.

Victim Diana Gonzalez told “The Jake and Spike Show” on KIRO Newsradio she didn’t initially realize how badly she’d been hurt.

“When she was doing it, I instantly knew that she was doing it,” Gonzalez said. “I just didn’t think she went through or bit a chunk off.”

An Arctic Hotel employee had previously intervened and told Gonzalez to call 911.

The video shows U.S. Marshals Service personnel go onto the sidewalk to assess the scene. Gonzalez confronts Chadli before a bystander leads Gonzalez — holding her injured forehead — into a nearby building.

A U.S. marshal handcuffs Chadli and leads her away.

Chadli is undergoing a competency hearing while being held on $150,000 bail.
