WDFW looking for information on unlawful decapitation of black bear

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) Police are looking into the “unlawful killing” of a black bear that was dumped along Trimble Creek and Jewel Road near Conger Lake, in Pend Oreille County.
WDFW said the bear carcass was reported on Sunday, July 12, around 4:30 p.m.
According to WDFW, the bear was dumped, with the head and paws removed. It appears there was at least one bullet wound on the bear.
It’s believed the bear was dumped about two days before it was found, WDFW said.
