Decomposing body discovered near Bellevue College

A body that had been decomposing for weeks was discovered in the woods near Bellevue College.
At approximately 8 p.m. Friday, officers with the Bellevue Police Department were called to respond to a body that was just discovered near the campus.
“Upon arrival, law enforcement confirmed there was a body that appeared to have been deceased for several weeks in a nearby wooded area,” the Bellevue Police Department stated Saturday.

According to investigators, initial evidence recovered at the scene did not indicate that foul play was involved in the death of the person.
The investigation remains ongoing.
