Bremerton man arrested after missing Bothell woman found dead

A 45-year-old Bremerton man was arrested Wednesday for the murder of Mallory Barbour, a Bothell woman who was missing for several months until her human remains were found in September 2025.

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) arrested the suspect and booked him into the Mason County Jail, MCSO announced.

Bothell woman missing for months before remains were found

The 27-year-old Barbour was last seen on June 24, leaving her home in the Pioneer Hills/Morningside area of Bothell. The first report of Barbour’s disappearance was submitted on July 16 to the Bothell Police Department.

Family and friends close to Barbour told police it was “out of character” for her to be away from home for that long without any contact.

“[Barbour’s body] was located on timber land in the State Route 3 and Pickering Road area of Mason County,” the Mason County Sheriff’s Office wrote. “Indications at the scene show the female died from homicidal violence.”

According to the sheriff’s office, the remains had been in the woods for an extended period of time.
