Animal control officer helps crack Bremerton bank robbery case, 2 suspects arrested

In a joint law enforcement effort, two bank robbery suspects were surrounded and arrested on Tuesday after allegedly threatening and demanding cash from a bank in unincorporated Bremerton.
At approximately 5 p.m., one of the suspects walked into the Kitsap Credit Union branch in the 6600 block of State Highway 303 N.E. with a threatening note, the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) announced.
The suspect passed the threatening note to an employee, which also included demands for money.

KCSO deputies obtained a description of the suspect’s getaway vehicle, and it was quickly located by a former KCSO cadet, now serving as an animal control officer.
The animal control officer shared her location, and shortly after, the Bremerton Police Department and KCSO deputies responded to the “high-risk” traffic stop.
Law enforcement surrounded the suspect vehicle with two male occupants, demanding the driver to “drop the keys outside the car,” and commanded both suspects to walk backwards with their hands up.
Money allegedly stolen in the heist, and other evidence, were seized.
Both suspects were taken into custody and booked into the Kitsap County Jail.
