A 20-year-old convicted felon was arrested for violating probation and being in possession of multiple guns in Capitol Hill on Friday.

At approximately 10:40 p.m., Seattle Police Department (SPD) officers, alongside a Department of Corrections (DOC) officer, searched for the man they knew was on active supervision for several crimes, including armed robbery, SPD announced.

Officers found the suspect in a car with three of his affiliates after SPD tracked him via his ankle monitor to a parking lot in the 1000 block of 8th Avenue.

SPD arrested the suspect and detained the three others, who were eventually identified and released by officers. The suspect was in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.

Officers searched the car and seized three handguns and cannabis paraphernalia.

The suspect is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing guns or contraband. Both are a violation of his DOC supervision.

Officers booked the male suspect into the South Correctional Entity (SCORE) jail.
