Two people were injured Monday when a car crashed into a home in Everett.

The crash happened just before noon near 18th Avenue West and 97th Place Southwest, authorities said.

According to law enforcement, the driver was hurt, along with a person inside the home who was struck by debris. Both are expected to survive.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

In a Facebook post, the Everett Fire Department urged drivers to be careful on the roads.

“As we head into the holiday season and continue to see wet, rainy weather, Everett Fire reminds everyone to slow down, use your turn signal, put your phone away, wear your seatbelt, stay alert, and give yourself extra stopping distance on the roads. Safe driving helps protect you, your passengers, and our community,” the post stated.
