An 87-year-old woman crashed her car into a Vancouver beauty school with roughly 50 students inside over the weekend.
The car struck Elite School of Beauty on NE 114th Avenue in Vancouver, causing significant damage to the business, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
At the time of the crash, approximately 50 students were inside the building, with one person needing to be transported to the hospital.
The Vancouver Police Department posted photos of the building after the crash, including the area where the vehicle drove through the glass entrance. Glass was scattered across the floor, and desks, salon chairs, and beauty equipment were knocked over.
The driver, an 87-year-old woman, accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake, the Vancouver Police Department confirmed. Impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
