One dead, one critically injured in Sunday Tacoma shooting, suspect on the loose

The Tacoma Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that took place Sunday afternoon in South Tacoma.
“Our officers arrived on-scene. They located two victims of gunshot wounds. One victim died of the wounds, the other was transported to a local hospital in critical condition,” said Tacoma police spokesperson Shelbie Boyd.
The shooting occurred in an alley between S. Warner Street and S. Puget Sound Avenue at approximately 3 p.m. Sunday. One man was killed in the shooting, while another man is in critical condition, as of this reporting.

“Throughout the night, detectives were able to establish probable cause for a suspect. That suspect was located and then booked into the Pierce County Jail for homicide, second degree, and assault,” said Tacoma police spokesperson Shelbie Boyd.
The suspect is still at large, according to the Tacoma Police Department. The department did state it doesn’t believe the suspect is currently a danger to the public.
Officers are investigating what caused the shooting. Anyone with information related to this case is asked to call 911.
