Two men have been charged with first-degree murder after the fatal shooting of a father and youth football coach in Des Moines.
King County prosecutors said that on Sept. 20, Derrick Stell Junior and Keenan Stell allegedly chased down the 31-year-old Abraham Logan and shot and killed him.
Investigators said that Logan attempted to stop the assault outside of the All-Star Bar off Marine View Drive S before he was killed.
Logan was in the area celebrating his daughter’s birthday and was seen inside local bars the night of the shooting, according to KIRO 7.
Both men were arrested and booked on Oct. 15 in connection with Logan’s murder.
“We recognize the loss Abraham’s family and friends continue to face and hope these arrests provide some measure of comfort as the case moves forward,” the Des Moines Police Department wrote on Facebook.
The two men also face first-degree unlawful firearm possession charges.
