Police arrest teen suspect in Edmonds waterfront shooting

Officers with the Edmonds Police Department arrested a teenager who allegedly shot at a car with multiple women inside in an area of the city’s waterfront early Saturday morning.
According to My Edmonds News, the gunfire rang out at approximately 1:10 a.m. near the parking lot of Anthony’s HomePort Restaurant, located in the 400 block of Admiral Way.
A bullet grazed an 18-year-old Lynnwood woman’s arm. She was checked out by medics at the scene, but was not taken to a hospital.
Three other women, ages 17, 18, and 20, were also in the car.
Investigators believe a 15-year-old boy fired at the car because he had a dispute with someone inside. Officers said at least one of the victims in the vehicle knew the suspect, and that there was a history of a dispute between the individuals.
Police arrested the suspect, who was still in the area, a couple of hours later. The suspect is a former resident of Mountlake Terrace who now lives in Bellevue.
Officers took him into custody and booked him into the Denney Juvenile Justice Center. He’s expected to face two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.
