16-year-old boy shot and killed in Federal Way apartment complex parking lot Monday night

A 16-year-old was killed in a shooting at a Federal Way apartment complex Monday night, the Federal Way Police Department confirmed.
Officers were called to respond to the shooting at approximately 9:30 p.m. Monday. When they arrived, they found the 16-year-old male victim in the parking lot with gunshot wounds.
“Officers and medics provided emergency medical aid, but the male was pronounced deceased at the scene,” Federal Way Police Department Commander Michael Coffey stated.
A 28-year-old male was identified as the suspect in the fatal shooting.
Federal Way investigators have surrounded the apartment complex ever since, as of this reporting, as they continue to investigate the circumstances of what led to the shooting.
Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
