Gig Harbor police are cracking down on retail theft.
Last Thursday and Friday, the Gig Harbor Police Department worked with local businesses on a “retail theft emphasis.”
During that time, they arrested 15 people and detained three juveniles.
One of the people arrested had been picked up during a previous emphasis patrol, police said.
Officers said another suspect was trying to pass a counterfeit bill.
“We will continue to take steps to address continued retail theft in Gig Harbor,” the Gig Harbor Police Department said in a Facebook post. “You never know when the next retail theft emphasis will occur.”
