A former Green Hill School employee, Emily Baker, pleaded guilty last week to charges that she had sexual intercourse with an inmate and smuggled drugs into the facility for him, according to KING 5.
Video evidence presented in court detailed the 22-year-old inmate and Baker having sexual intercourse.
“This wasn’t surveillance video. This was a cellphone that they set up in the closet to videotape their actions,” Lewis County Deputy Prosecutor Brandi Archer said, according to KING 5. “They set it up prior to it so that they could watch it later, I guess.”
Growing trend of Green Hill School employees’ sexual intercourse with inmates
Prosecutors presented numerous variations of evidence, including videos, photos, text messages, and contraband seized by Chehalis police during their investigation.
Baker will be sentenced in October for two counts of custodial sexual misconduct and four counts of introducing contraband in the second degree. Baker faces up to seven years in prison for the charges.
Baker is now the sixth instance of an employee engaging in improper relationships with an inmate at the Green Hill School in the last year, according to KING 5.
In court, Baker admitted she engaged in sexual intercourse with the same inmate another former employee, Angel Marie Misner, also admitted to having sexual intercourse with.
Misner was acquitted of her sexual misconduct charges and released from jail; however, she returned to the facility in an attempt to smuggle drugs inside.
In late May, Misner disguised herself as a DoorDash driver and was arrested for attempting to smuggle drugs inside a burrito. Misner planned to deliver the burrito to an inmate she had previously had sexual intercourse with, and later pleaded guilty to smuggling charges.
Another Green Hill employee, Michelle Goodman, was accused of sexual misconduct in October 2024. Goodman was previously booked and later released for allegedly inciting a riot at the facility before her sexual misconduct allegations.
