Woman injured after roughly 60 shots fired in High Point shooting

A late-night shooting in the High Point neighborhood that injured a 42-year-old woman on Wednesday has prompted a Seattle Police Department (SPD) investigation.
At approximately 11:15 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 6500 block of Sylvan Way S.W., and found a victim shot in the arm, SPD announced.
Officers and firefighters treated the woman at the scene, and medics transported her to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.
Detectives in the Gun Violence Reduction Unit (GVRU) processed the scene and interviewed the victim.

Officers determined that multiple suspects shot at the victim’s vehicle, and the woman was struck inside it.
The gunfire also struck several vehicles and at least one occupied home. SPD noted that roughly 60 rounds were fired during the incident.
Detectives are currently investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle before SPD could arrive on the scene.
No arrests have been made as of this reporting.
SPD stated the case is open and active, and has been assigned to the GVRU.
