Kent police are looking for a person or people involved in a deadly shooting at a Metro bus stop Park-and-Ride on Tuesday evening.

Just after 6 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting at 23405 Military Road S. When they arrived, they found a man on the ground with “obvious gunshot wounds.”

Despite efforts to save the man’s life, he was pronounced dead at the scene. While the victim has not been identified yet, Kent PD said he is likely between the ages of 18 and 25.

Kent detectives say initial information indicates that this was not a random shooting.

While police were investigating that shooting, they got reports of a second shooting just a few blocks away at Kent Des Moines Road and Pacific Highway South.

Responding officers found gun casings near a restaurant, though there are no indications that anyone was hit.

It’s unclear if the two shootings are related.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about either of these shootings is asked to call the Kent Police Tip Line at 253-856-5808, leave a tip at KPDTipLine@kentwa.gov, or call 911 if your information is urgent.
