A recent drug investigation in Lynnwood led to the discovery of a major drug trafficking operation and the seizure of several pounds of illegal narcotics on Saturday.

In December, a Lynnwood Police Department (LPD) detective made a substantial discovery from a “spin-off” large-scale wire investigation from the summer of 2025, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office announced.

Pounds of narcotics seized in Lynnwood linked to drug trafficking operation

On December 17, 2025, investigators arrested a 29-year-old Lynnwood man who was found in possession of approximately 24.8 grams of fentanyl and 30.2 grams of methamphetamine.

In a follow-up investigation, detectives impounded a “related vehicle” that was located at a separate site. After searching the vehicle, law enforcement discovered more than 13 pounds of narcotics.

The total amount of items that were seized includes:

  • 6,064 grams of methamphetamine (13.36 pounds)
  • 3,232 grams of powdered fentanyl (7.12 pounds)
  • 2,558 grams of M30 fentanyl pills (approximately 25,000 pills)
  • 963 grams of cocaine (2.12 pounds)
  • 993 grams of heroin (2.18 pounds)
  • Two vehicles
  • $6,719 in U.S. currency

SCSO noted the operation would not have been successful without the coordinated efforts of several law enforcement agencies, including LPD, the Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force (SRDTF), Everett Police Department, the Anti-Crime Team, and the Violent Crimes Unit.

“The collaborative work between our local and regional agencies continues to be instrumental in removing dangerous narcotics from our communities,” Dave Hayes, SRDTF Commander, said. “Thanks to the dedication of our detectives and partner agencies, a major source of harm has been shut down.”

The investigation remains ongoing and active.
