Man found with ‘obvious signs of trauma’ in Madison Park sparks homicide investigation

A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found with “obvious signs of trauma” in a Madison Park parking lot on Sunday.
At approximately 5 p.m., Seattle Police Department (SPD) officers responded to reports of a person down in a parking lot in the 4000 block of E. Madison Street, SPD announced.
At the scene, officers found the victim with clear signs of trauma. The Seattle Fire Department responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
SPD cordoned off the immediate area until Homicide and Crime Scene Investigations Units could respond and process the scene.
The medical examiner took custody of the body and will work to identify the victim as well as determine the cause and manner of death.
SPD noted the circumstances leading up to the death are currently under investigation. There is no suspect description available as of this reporting.
