A 36-year-old man was booked into jail Tuesday after police said he threw rocks at passing vehicles in South Seattle, leaving two people hurt.

Officers began receiving reports around midnight of a man throwing rocks near Rainier Avenue South and South Henderson Street. Police said a couple in their 50s suffered facial injuries when a rock shattered the window of their truck.

“Firefighters treated both victims on scene,” according to a post on the Seattle Police Department’s (SPD) blotter. “The couple drove to a nearby hospital for further treatment.”

2 King County buses hit, no passengers hurt

Two King County Metro buses were also hit. They had damage to their windshields and destination signs. No drivers or passengers were hurt.

“Officers found the suspect nearby and arrested him,” the post stated. “According to the police report, he made ‘multiple threats to shoot officers in the head and kick and punch officers before and after being placed into custody.'”

The suspect, a convicted felon, was booked into the King County Jail for assault, malicious mischief, and property destruction, SPD said.
