People living in a north Seattle neighborhood survived a shootout Saturday morning, but their homes and cars were damaged in a flurry of gunfire.
A shootout around 8:15 a.m. took place on Interlake Ave. N., just north of N. 107th St.
The bullets struck several buildings and vehicles.
One woman in a nearby apartment said some of the shots shattered her window and one bullet narrowly missed hitting her.
Police said they found about 80 shell casings on the street.
They said those casings came from at least five different calibers of rifles and handguns.
Investigators are using video from the city’s Real Time Crime Center to try to figure out who was firing the guns. They are also searching for a black sedan damaged by gunfire that was seen leaving the shooting scene.
Officers searched the area for that sedan, but did not find it.
Detectives with the police department’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit also responded to help patrol officers process the scene.
There are no reports of injuries.
Earlier shootout left nearby businesses riddled with bullet holes
This comes after a similar shootout that occurred just a few blocks away on Thursday night.
Several businesses near the Burgermaster restaurant, at N. 98th and Aurora Ave. N., are now working to repair the damage from that gunfire.
It left dozens of bullet holes in the walls and windows of their buildings.
After Thursday’s shooting, Seattle police found nearly 120 shell casings in a parking lot.
Authorities do not believe any people were hit in Thursday night’s shooting and, so far, no arrests have been reported.
