Person shot on Aurora Avenue, SPD looking for suspect

The Seattle Police Department (SPD) is investigating a shooting on Aurora Avenue.

A person was shot in the 9900 block of Aurora Avenue North on Friday, SPD reported via X.

The person was taken to Harborview Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg, the Seattle Fire Department told KIRO Newsradio.

Officers have contained the area and are searching for the suspect, according to the police department.

“Please avoid the area,” SPD wrote.
