A driver attempted to hide from police after crashing into another vehicle in Whatcom County by hiding in an unplugged fridge outside.
The Washington State Patrol (WSP) began investigating a car crash on I-5 in Custer after troopers realized the driver had fled the scene. Using a K9 unit and a drone, WSP was able to track the suspect down.
WSP found the driver hiding in a nearby refrigerator that had been left outdoors.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the capture, as did Ferndale and Bellingham Police.
