Port Orchard driver crashes into ditch during suspected opioid overdose

A Port Orchard man was hospitalized on Wednesday after having a suspected opioid overdose while behind the wheel and driving into a ditch.
At approximately 8:12 p.m., Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputies responded to Harris Road S.E., KCSO announced.
The 35-year-old driver was ultimately transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital in an unknown condition.

KCSO deputies obtained warrants for a blood draw and a vehicle search.
Evidence is being forwarded to the Kitsap County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for review and charges.
