20-year-old arrested after high-speed chase ends in Poulsbo smoke shop crash

A 20-year-old Kingston man lost control of his car and crashed into a Poulsbo smoke shop after speeding more than 100 mph away from law enforcement on Wednesday.
At approximately 1 a.m., the suspect was seen speeding in the 18600 block of Viking Way N.W., the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) announced.
The suspect lost control of the vehicle while making a left turn onto Finn Hill Road at a high speed.
The suspect then collided with a smoke and vape shop in the 20300 block of Viking Avenue.
Deputies noted that the man attempted to walk away from the collision, though he was quickly apprehended by KCSO.
The suspect was booked into the Kitsap County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence and attempting to elude a law enforcement officer.
