The Seattle Police Department (SPD) is currently investigating two connected stabbings in Rainier Valley on Wednesday morning.

At approximately 6:10 a.m., officers responded to the first stabbing in the 8100 block of Rainier Avenue S., finding a 33-year-old man in the parking lot with a stab wound to the leg, SPD announced.

Police and the Seattle Fire Department administered medical aid to the victim before he was transported to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.

Second stabbing reported while officers investigated first

As officers were investigating, the second stabbing was reported in the 8800 block of 36th Avenue S.

At the scene, a 38-year-old man was found with a knife wound to his stomach. SPD determined that both stabbings were related, and the suspect was known to the second victim.

An ambulance transported the second stabbing victim to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect fled the scene before SPD could arrive, and no arrests were made.

Officers processed both scenes, took photographs, and collected evidence. The events leading up to both stabbings are currently under investigation.

Anyone with information is urged to call the SPD Violent Crimes Tip Line at (206) 233-5000. Anonymous tips are also accepted.
