Seattle police investigating report of armed man near Jose Rizal Park in Beacon Hill

Seattle police are currently investigating a report of a man near Jose Rizal Park who is believed to be armed with a gun.
The Seattle Police Department (SPD) advised the public to avoid the area near Seattle’s Beacon Hill neighborhood as officers search for the suspect.
At roughly 8:30 a.m., SPD noted that several areas within the neighborhood may be blocked off by police.
Additional information will be released by SPD as it becomes available.
Police are investigating a call near Jose Rizal Park involving a man believed to be armed with a firearm. Please avoid the area as they search. Multiple areas may be blocked off by police. More information to come.
