17-year-old shot during robbery attempt after concert in Seattle’s Ravenna neighborhood

A 17-year-old boy is recovering after being shot while walking to his car following a concert in Seattle.
Officers with the Seattle Police Department (SPD) responded to the scene of the shooting, finding the 17-year-old shot in the leg lying on the ground in the road. He was subsequently rushed to Harborview Medical Center. The shooting happened Saturday night just before 8:30 p.m. in Seattle’s Ravenna neighborhood.
According to the SPD, the victim was walking to his car with a friend after a concert at Cowen Park when two men approached them and tried to rob them. The victim allegedly swung at one of them before being shot. His friend wasn’t injured in the shooting.
