One dead in shooting involving King County Sheriff’s deputy near SEA Airport

A deputy with the King County Sheriff’s Office was involved in a fatal shooting, the Renton Police Department confirmed with KIRO 7.
One person was killed in the shooting, but no other injuries were reported.
It was initially reported that the King County Sheriff’s Office was involved in an incident near the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) Sunday night.
This incident happened near S. 192nd Street and 16th Avenue S. According to the King County Sheriff’s Office, the case is now being investigated by the Valley Independent Investigation Team, which handles officer-involved incidents.
The sheriff’s office has not released any additional details about what happened or whether anyone was injured.
“That is all we have to release at this time,” the King County Sheriff’s Office stated.
