Police are investigating after a person was grazed in the head by a bullet in South Seattle’s Beacon Hill neighborhood.

Officers responded to reports of a man brandishing a weapon and suspected gunfire near 35th Avenue South and South Findlay Street just before 11 a.m. Friday, according to the Seattle Police Department (SPD).

Police arrived and investigated, but everyone involved had left.

Around an hour later, King County Sheriff’s Office deputies found a person in White Center suffering from a grazing gunshot wound to the head.

The person was transported to Harborview Medical Center and is in stable condition.

Police determine argument broke out before South Seattle shooting

Officers went back to the location of the incident and found a damaged RV nearby. Police determined there was an argument between multiple people before the shooting.

During the argument, the suspect fired a gun, hitting both the RV and the injured person.

The suspect left the area before officers arrived, and has not been located.

SPD is still investigating what led up to the shooting. Anyone with relevant information is asked to call the department’s tip line at 206-233-5000. Anonymous tips are accepted.
