Shots fired between two cars injure child in Skyway

A child sustained minor injuries from shattered glass when shots were fired between two cars in Skyway around 5 p.m. on Sunday, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office told KIRO 7 that when deputies responded to the 11900 block of Renton Avenue South, they initially did not see the cars but found them nearby shortly after.
There were at least two children in one of the cars when the drivers exchanged gunfire, according to authorities. One of the children sustained minor injuries from shattered glass.
The sheriff’s office said the Major Crimes Unit is investigating.
