A Silverdale woman was not hurt Sunday night after a bullet came through her wall and landed on the floor near her window.
Around 9:30 p.m., the woman heard what she thought was a firecracker. She then found a hole in her wall and a bullet on the floor near her window, according to a Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.
She told Kitsap County deputies the bullet knocked over some of her appliances before it hit the floor.
A neighbor later came to the door to apologize. He told deputies he was trying to unload the gun when it went off.
Deputies confiscated the gun and forwarded the case to the prosecuting attorney’s office for possible charges.
