A fight outside of a bar in Seattle’s Lake City neighborhood led to a man getting stabbed multiple times, the Seattle Police Department (SPD) confirmed.
Officers were called to the scene, at the intersection of N.E. 130th Street and 30th Avenue N.E., just after 2:30 a.m. Friday. When they arrived, officers found a 26-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to his torso and leg.
“The investigation revealed the victim had left a nearby bar and was involved in a physical altercation shortly before the stabbing,” SPD stated. “The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.”
The stabbing victim is in critical condition, as of this reporting, and has been transported to Harborview Medical Center.
Detectives with the Homicide and Assault Unit are investigating what led up to the assault.
