Two hospitalized after stabbing at Freeway Park in Downtown Seattle

A stabbing in downtown Seattle sent two people to the hospital early Wednesday morning.
Officers with the Seattle Police Department (SPD) were called to respond to a stabbing at Freeway Park in downtown Seattle at approximately 6:30 a.m. Officers and a K9 unit were tracking multiple suspects, but no arrests were made.
“Witnesses at the scene told officers that it was about three males wearing black clothing that robbed the victims just before the assaults,” said SPD Detective Brian Pritchard. “A K-9 unit was called, and they did a search, but they couldn’t find any suspect.”

SPD stated the stabbing could be tied to an attempted robbery. Police are investigating whether the victims knew each other or if the incident was targeted.
The two victims, both men, are currently in stable condition at Harborview Medical Center, as of this reporting.
Police believe the stabbing may be part of a robbery, but they are unsure at this time if the victims know each other or if the incident was targeted.
SPD Robbery Unit is handling the investigation.
