Homicide investigation underway after deadly Tacoma shooting Thursday night

One person died in a shooting in Tacoma Thursday night.
The shooting happened at approximately 9 p.m. in the Hilltop neighborhood, near J Street and S. 11th Street. When Tacoma Police Department officers arrived at the scene, they found a man shot. The victim was pronounced dead after he was taken to a nearby hospital.
“Detectives and crime scene technicians are investigating this incident as a homicide,” the Tacoma Police Department stated.
