Toddler found dead was strangled to death, Mason County coroner confirms

The Mason County Coroner reported that the toddler who was found dead near Catfish Lake Lane was strangled to death.
The findings came after the coroner conducted an autopsy on the child, who was 17 months old, Thursday.
Her body was found July 1. The Mason County Sheriff’s Office said that they have a suspect in custody, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
“This continues to be a heartbreaking and difficult investigation. Our thoughts and prayers remain with Jennavieve’s family and loved ones during this tragic time,” the coroner stated on social media.
