A King County woman, arrested after authorities uncovered a drug lab and a stash of firearms, was sentenced Thursday to seven years in prison, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Washington Teal Luthy Miller.

Chandler Bennett, 30, and her partner, Braiden Wilson, were arrested after a 2024 shooting in King County. During the sentencing, U.S. District Judge Lauren King stated, “You were taking deliveries of fentanyl at your mobile home … These crimes were egregious. You distributed a large amount of dangerous drugs.”

Records filed in the case revealed that Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) had been monitoring Bennett and Wilson for drug trafficking activities on the dark web when King County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shooting incident near Olallie State Park.

When authorities arrived at the RV, they noticed surveillance cameras and requested access to the footage. Bennett then refused to allow them inside, prompting a warrant from a King County judge.

After entering the RV, law enforcement discovered guns, fentanyl and equipment for manufacturing drugs. Authorities seized over 2.5 kilograms of fentanyl-laced pills, 16 firearms, body armor, silencers, ballistic shields and 3D-printed gun parts.

The search of two storage units linked to Bennett uncovered additional pill presses, more controlled substances, and mailing supplies. In total, law enforcement seized more than two kilos of fentanyl-laced pills, nearly a kilo of fentanyl powder, and over three kilos of meth.

Investigators also found that Wilson had sold drugs on the dark web more than 2,000 times, earning over $287,000 in crypto.

“Ms. Bennett was a key player in the drug distribution activities, negotiating the prices for fentanyl and other drugs from the couple’s supplier,” Miller said. “The activities of Ms. Bennett and her co-defendant no doubt contributed to the crisis of fentanyl abuse that continues to plague our communities.”

Bennett pleaded guilty in October 2024.
