Eighteen people were arrested during a pro-Palestinian protest at the Microsoft campus in Redmond, the Redmond Police Department (RPD) reported via Facebook.

Police were sent to a large gathering of protesters in the Microsoft courtyard on Wednesday at 12:15 p.m.

“Officers initially attempted to trespass the protesters, but they resisted and became aggressive,” RPD stated in its post.

Several protesters reportedly poured paint over the Microsoft sign and on the ground.

Protesters also blocked a pedestrian bridge and used stolen tables and chairs from vendors to create a barrier, according to RPD.

Police took 18 protesters into custody for multiple charges, including trespassing, malicious mischief, resisting arrest, and obstruction.

There were no injuries reported.
