Ultimate guide to celebrating the completion of Seattle’s Waterfront Park

On Saturday, Seattle is celebrating the official completion of Waterfront Park—and you’re invited!
There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. on Pier 58—everyone is welcome to attend. After, there will be a Grand Opening Celebration from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The celebration will include over 60 performances and activations across Pier 58, Pier 62, the 17-block Park Promenade, and Overlook Walk.

Getting to Waterfront Park
FREE Waterfront Park Shuttle
The free downtown Waterfront Shuttle takes visitors to the downtown waterfront and Waterfront Park.
It is running through mid-September.
The shuttle stops at key locations including the Seattle Center/Space Needle, Pier 69, Pier 62, Pier 56, Pioneer Square, and King Street Station in the Chinatown International District.
The shuttle is scheduled to pass by each stop every 15-20 minutes.
Each shuttle can accommodate 22 people, and service animals are allowed. Three of the four shuttles are ADA Accessible.

About the park
The new 20-acre park stretches along the waterfront from Belltown to Pioneer Square. It transforms the former Alaskan Way Viaduct into green spaces, cultural experiences, and public amenities for all to enjoy. You can learn more by clicking here.
