Aaron Quinonez, also known as “Sergeant Q” to those who know and work alongside him, made it his post-military mission to help other military veterans. He helps those who need help transitioning back into regular life, knowing some need new ways to find fulfillment and sometimes healing. Through his non-profit, Q-Missions, Aaron creates opportunities for veterans to serve on mission trips, an opportunity that transformed his own life when he needed it. Q-Missions provides suicide prevention training and education as well. Aaron feels that he’s paying it forward, giving other veterans a second chance outside the military to heal through service.

This is why KIRO Radio and your community credit union, WSECU are proud to honor Aaron Quinonez as a Hometown Hero and award him with $2,000! If you know of a Hometown Hero, an exceptional person who makes your community a better place to live, nominate that person at MyNorthwest.com/hero.
