Currently, Rep Mark Harmsworth and Sen. Andy Hill have introduced legislation that would dramatically alter the current mess on I-405. And the legislation will pass, but only with your help.
Local politicians are scared to death of constituents who speak loudly. It’s exactly why so few Progressive activists have amassed so much power in Washington. They show up to meetings, they write emails, they scream really loudly – they come off as larger in numbers than they really are. And a result, they’ve allowed WSDOT to create a traffic mess, then have the audacity to charge us for relief.
Now, it’s our time to take the power back from the few.
All you have to do is write an email to your representatives demanding they support your voice in Olympia and they support HB 2312 and SB 6152 (read them both). Explain if they are unable to support the bills you support, they will, under no circumstance, earn your vote when they seek re-election.
Now, they’re counting on you not following up on this, which is why you’ll remind them that the second any representative goes on record against these bills, I’ll be letting you know on my radio show.
Don’t know who your representatives are? No worries. Click here to find out.
Need help writing an email? Use this letter in full or edit it to make it your own.
Dear Representative
, I am a constituent of yours and I’m asking you represent my voice in Olympia by supporting HB 2312 and SB 6152. I am not pleased with the Express Toll Lanes on I-405. I want you to know that I’m actively following this legislation and, because this means so much to me, I will not be supporting any representative for re-election that does not represent my stance on this issue. I will be tuning into the Jason Rantz Show on KIRO Radio for updates on how you and your colleagues vote.
Best regards,
It really is as easy as that. And please share this blog post on your Facebook and Twitter accounts, show your friends and families, and let’s fix this WSDOT mess on I-405.
