University of Washington’s Husky Stadium is getting a new name.

The university and Alaska Airlines worked out a partnership worth $41 million over 10 years that includes naming rights. It’s the largest deal of its kind in college sports, according to The Seattle Times.

Husky Stadium will now be called the “Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium.”

While happy for the school, KIRO Radio’s Tom Tangney, an alumnus and die-hard Dawgs fan, said he’ll “always know it as Husky Stadium.” Much like the Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion is still “Hec Ed” for so many alumni.

The five-year Hec Edmundson deal was signed in 2011 and is worth at least $700,000 annually, according to the Times.

Alaska Airlines already holds naming rights to the Huskies basketball arena. The five-year Hec Edmundson deal was signed in 2011 and is worth at least $700,000 annually, according to the Times.

The new deal extends those rights and also makes the airline — based in Seattle — the official airline for all three University of Washington campuses.

The school says the money from the naming rights agreement will be used toward athletic scholarship along with other student and campus programming.

The University of Washington Board of Regents, which meets on Sept. 10, must approve the new deal with Alaska Airlines.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
