Snohomish County is currently accepting 2027 tourism grant applications.
Funded by the Hotel-Motel Small Fund, a sales tax on hotel- and motel-room rentals, grants are given to projects that support tourism in the county.
Applications are encouraged from a variety of public and nonprofit organizations. All applicant projects must show that they will attract tourists and be involved in visitor marketing, capital projects, or promotions. Projects that seek to increase overnight stays in the county will be favored. Priority will also be given to applicants that can demonstrate their project’s positive economic impact, such as supporting employment in the local tourism industry.
About $850,000 is available to be dispersed for the 2027 cycle. Those who apply might be awarded either the partial amount, full amount, or none of the portion of funds they’ve requested.
Grant applications will be assessed by the County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee, which will then send recommendations to the Snohomish County Council to vote on recipients.
To be considered, applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 30.
