Attention, crab lovers! Visit Bellevue has announced the return of Bellevue Crab Week, a citywide dining celebration where residents and visitors can enjoy limited-time crab dishes from participating Bellevue restaurants.
This year’s event — its second overall — will run from Aug. 14-23. The full lineup of participating restaurants and featured dishes is available here.
Participants can also use the Vuefinder app to check in at participating locations and register dining experiences to earn opportunities for Crab Week-inspired prizes. Those who participate in all four Bellevue Culinary Weeks will earn a Visit Bellevue tote bag.
Shota Nakajima, nationally recognized chef and longtime Washingtonian, will return as Crab Week’s culinary ambassador. The celebration will also mark the Season 3 premiere of “Bellevue Eats,” Visit Bellevue’s original culinary-exploration series starring Nakajima.
“Culinary Weeks were created to tell the story of this place through food — its seasons, its landscapes, and the many cultures that shape Bellevue,” said Meredith Langridge, director of visitor experience at Visit Bellevue, in a press release. “Dungeness crab is quintessentially Pacific Northwest, and Crab Week gives our chefs room to honor that sense of place while bringing their own traditions and imagination to the table.”
