Goban Korean BBQ is soft opening in downtown Bellevue at 4 p.m. on Aug. 12.
The global restaurant chain — whose foray into the Eastside city is also its Washington debut — will sit inside the luxury condo building Mari Bellevue, the Bellevue Downtown Network reported. The brand debuted in 2016 and has rapidly expanded since then: by 2018, it had opened its 22nd branch. According to its website, the brand encompasses, as of 2024, more than 130 branches.
During its soft-opening window, Goban will only take walk-ins. The restaurant is distinctive for its full table-side grilling, which its staff is responsible for, and its high-quality ingredients, the article said.
Those who follow the restaurant’s Instagram ahead of time and show evidence of their engagement will get a free side dish. Diners can choose between soft tofu stew, kimchi stew, corn cheese, steamed egg, or soybean paste stew.
