The city of Bellevue has received applications from American Capital Group for the construction of a new mixed-use apartment building, the Bellevue Downtown Network recently reported.
The building — 116th Avenue NE Apartments — would be located in the Wilburton neighborhood at 120 116th Ave. NE, which was the previous site of car dealership AutoNation Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Bellevue.
Plans for the new 11-story building include an estimated 449 units, with 90 units reserved for affordable housing for those earning up to 80% of the Area Median Income.
Designed in an “E” shape with 19,700 square feet for resident amenities, the building will feature two westward-facing courtyards, a rooftop deck, game room, coworking space, and a fitness and wellness area, plus a lounge and club rooms. Plans also include 11,412 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
The building additionally will have about 16,884 square feet in public-facing space that will include seating, terraced steps, and landscaping acting as a marker for the residential entrance.
Plans indicate that, for drivers, there will be 507 parking spaces, with 456 reserved for residents, 42 for retail customers, and nine for leasing staff. The plans also include parking for 90 bicycles, including short-term spaces near entrances.
