PacMed Facilities to Rebrand, Widen Reach with 2 New Clinics

The Pacific Medical Centers medical system — also known as PacMed — announced in a release today that it’s opening two new clinics this fall: one in Seattle’s Ravenna neighborhood, and the other in Woodinville.
PacMed will also begin branding its facilities as Providence Swedish PacMed Clinics in an effort to put the two titular health care systems’ affiliation at the forefront. The entities have been affiliated since 2014.
“The goal of this new brand update is for Providence Swedish PacMed Clinics to present a more unified, coordinated system of care across Puget Sound — making it easier for patients and communities to understand and access the full range of services available,” said Scott Foster-Edwards, regional chief executive for the North Division of Providence Clinical Network, in the release. “PacMed’s commitment to personalized, patient-centered, value-based care — and our focus on serving diverse and underserved communities — remains unchanged.”
The 4,500-square-foot Ravenna clinic formerly was the home of the Providence Swedish Ravenna primary care clinic. Across eight exam rooms, it will offer a range of specialists: urology, sleep medicine, physiatry, pulmonary, dermatology, neurology, and gastroenterology.
The 6,000-square-foot Woodinville clinic will focus on primary care and behavioral health care providers. It will have 16 exam rooms and two behavioral health rooms.
The Ravenna location is anticipated to start taking in patients on Sept. 8 following a Sept. 3 open house. The Woodinville branch will officially open on Oct. 12 after an Oct. 9 open house.
PacMed noted in the release that the expansion and rebranding won’t have an impact on its US Family Health Plan.
“This update strengthens how we present that work, not the work itself,” Foster-Edwards added in the release. “PacMed continues to be a distinct organization within the Providence Swedish family, with its own mission and culture. This change reflects how we present ourselves within the broader community.”
