Upcoming housing-development project Bellewood Townhomes has introduced new amenities to its planned site, such as a kids’ play area.
Designed by Freiheit Architecture, the Bellevue project, which was announced earlier this year, will boast seven new buildings hosting 42 townhomes starting at 2229 112th Ave. NE. Currently, there are two office buildings in the project space from 1978 that are expected to be torn down.
The project will also feature upgraded landscaping along the street, guest parking, and internal roads to connect to all the buildings, the Downtown Bellevue Network reported.
The city of Bellevue requires residential developments to allot space for outdoor play for children with a minimum foot requirement. For the Bellewood Townhomes project, the minimum space needed is 2,400 square feet, with the proposed play area sitting at nearly 3,000 square feet.
