The city of Redmond is currently accepting applications for its 2027 tourism grants.

The grants look to support the Redmond Tourism Program and its specific goal of attracting tourists from distances of more than 50 miles, with an emphasis on overnight guests.

In the 2024 Tourism Strategic Plan, the vision for Redmond’s future tourism development was characterized as “a vibrant community where every person is welcomed. Our diversity, active lifestyle, access to nature, and culture of innovation offers experiences that inspire exploration, foster enthusiasm, and leave a lasting impact on all who visit.”

To that end, grant applications are encouraged from a variety of different sectors, including cultural, historical, educational, sports, community, or professional organizations. Applicants must be putting on events, sporting tournaments, or promotions which are or plan to actively bring tourists to Redmond. Grants can’t exceed 50% of the project’s cost.

Grants will be provided via the 1% lodging tax fund used for projects that support tourism development and promotion. The Redmond Lodging Tax Advisory Committee will be assessing applications using official funding criteria and scoring, after which recommendations will be sent to the city council for approval.

Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Aug. 10. Forms can be found here. To learn more about Redmond tourism initiatives, visit its website.
