Stanwood Organization Begins $4M Remodel of Dog Pod and Wellness Center

Stanwood’s Northwest Organization for Animal Help is beginning a remodeling process for its Dog Pod and Wellness Center for sheltered animals.
The organization is known for taking in animals from overcrowded facilities. NOAH began its Capital Improvements Campaign in 2025 with the goal of raising funds to remodel its wellness center.
The remodeled wellness center and dog pod includes new walls, flooring, air conditioning, and a meet-and-greet space for adoptable dogs and potential pet owners. The Dog Pod would have six suites that can host full litters of puppies or 35-40 dogs. Other upgrades during the renovation include new and improved medical equipment, dedicated wellness areas, and a remodel of the spay/neuter clinic to increase cat capacity.
Currently, the organization is still in its demolition and construction phase, with the new space expected to open sometime in the winter of 2026 or early 2027.
The organization has raised more than $1.3 million but is still in need of around $2.6 million.
